Composer & Producer
Andy Forsberg
Andy Forsberg is a media composer and producer based in Los Angeles.
After studying at the Berklee College of Music, Andy’s journey began working for acclaimed composer/arranger William Ross (Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, Barbara Streisand). Shortly after, he co-founded video game music and sound design house Hexany Audio, where he served as its lead composer until 2016.
Andy has since carved out his own path through his unique patchwork of styles, combining Neoclassical, electronic, and sweeping orchestral palettes. He has composed and contributed music for several of Nat Geo/Disney and Discovery Channel’s high profile projects, including Born Wild: The Next Generation narrated by Robin Roberts, The Last Alaskans, Europe from Above, and Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Among his documentary work, Andy has made a quick name for himself in many genres, scoring several of Lifetime Network’s lauded list of TV movie thrillers, Thirst for Hulu’s bite sized Halloween directed by Stefan Dezil, and the award-winning film Whistle created by director Jen Araki, starring Dylan Playfair (Letterkenny, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers).
An avid conductor, Andy has led the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre for the world premiere of his concert work “Beyond Us”, recorded and conducted his own music at the historic Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros., and was one of Broadcast Music Inc.’s (BMI) selected fellows for their 2018 intensive conducting workshop, led by acclaimed conductor/composer Lucas Richman.
Through his work in documentaries, thrillers, and dramas, Andy has found an intense passion for real-life storytelling, and finding light in the darker elements of human nature.
